Any Help/support.. Life Struggles. Suggestions?

First of all, thanks to all who clicked on my question, heres the situation:
I am 16, my parents have been moving me around since i was 5 and we havent lived anywhere more than a yr….
- a couple months ago we moved to montana. We now live in Billings but i travel to school 20 miles away to a very small town (PC-about 100 high school students total ) because the only schools here in billings have a head count of about 3,500 students and i cant function in those big schools where it feels like you’re only a number to all the teachers. I finally found a place where i fit in when i started school at PC, im varsity cheerleader, got involved in the prom club, i started a forensic class which i discovered i LOVED and the teachers are to die for, they are so helpful.
- 5 days before christmas, i got into my very first accident and ruined my car… i never thought this would happen to me. Now we have only 1 car so i i cant travel to PC anymore- I have to go back to West. What can I do?!

  1. Hey lil b, Hope u dont mind the nickname i just gave you. Since you made a short one with PC. Well im not sure i can help a whole lot. But i do hear what your saying about the small town. I went to high school in columbus and also colstrip. Never had to go to a big school. So im all about the small school. One of my really good college buddies in co went to school in pc and lived in laurel. He commuted all his high school. So the best thing i can say is if you can make it to school ask around for people that live in laurel or west end area. Then maybe you could catch a ride with them and just hook them up with fuel money until you get your transportation back. So hopefully you can work something out. but dont sweat it to much right now. Well i hope you can find something out that will work to keep you in PC! Hopefully this helps, And i do hope you are ok from your accident. And good luck with the cheerleading and forensic’s!

  2. Can you car pool? Have your parents talk to the school and ask for recommendations on what you can do. Tell your parents that you love this school due to the great teacher and classes you have, don’t mention friends. This way they will know what is more important classes or prom club. It is sad that you got in an accident but maybe you could get a part time job to help pay for an inexpensive one.

  3. Gee… too bad this happened, Bridgett… sounded like things were going perfect for you… Hmmm… I live halfway across the world, so I’m not entirely sure how things function there… is the car beyond repair? Can’t you have it fixed? Have you talked to your parents about how much you love going to PC? If they realise how much it means to you, they might be able to fix something up for you… you could also try talking to your teachers at PC… I’m sure they’ll be able to help out… also,, what about public transport- like the bus or train? You could explore that option too…School must be off now for the festive season, so maybe something’ll click by the time school re-opens… really hope something works out for you… Good luck!!!

  4. Anyone else in your area travel as well? Carpool? Very good friends family that you can stay with during the week? I had to do that back in school, but I had a friend that was a single child with a single mom so they didn’t mind.

  5. I hope your ok and werent hurt in the accident.
Your only 16, so you just started driving. It not the end of the world, the car is replaceable but not your life.
The only thing i can think of is public transportation. is there any Public transpotation to this school? twenty miles, is riding a bike not an option (maybe not) Or saving allllllll of your money, workling this winter (baby sitting, snow, neighborns need garage cleaned i dont know) to buy a little car- nothing fancy of course. just something to get you to an from school….
    Good luck
