Are Forensic Programs Teaching Viewers To Commit The Perfect Crimes?

After watching several such programs I have learned investigative tricks & techniques and, through the trial & error of a variety of criminals, determined a few dos and don’ts concerning evidence omission.
Is airing this information helping criminals become more thorough in their crimes?

  1. IMHO, I think they may help deter crime by demonstrating how may ways the perps can get caught. After all, all it takes is one eyelash or nose-hair for a DNA profile and who, honestly, can tell if they’ve lost one in a scuffle?

  2. I know huh. Some of the shows on Court Tv give away to much info. on how the perfect crime could have been committed.

  3. yep, don’t you just love it!

  4. I always wonder about those shows too. I think they give out way too much info. Why would they want to show people how to commit the perfect crime and not get caught??!!

  5. No, it’s actually doing the opposite. Crime doesn’t pay and by showing how far Forensics have come, it’s showing Criminals they better back off. They will get caught.

  6. yeah it does but it also lets you know that there is no such thing as the perfect crime
