Can anyone recommend a data recovery service in New York City?

I am looking for a good data recovery service (preferably in Manhattan) that is neither wildly expensive (preferably below $400), that will not destroy my hard drive. I’ve heard that bad data recovery services can actually make it impossible for you to ever get your data back. I don’t want to lose my data to inexperienced people. Thanks for any advice.

Also, if there is a company that is really good and affordable that I can mail my Hard Drive to, then that might work too.

Thanks!

You might want to consider this alternative to having someone else do the work:
If you’ve got a lot of valuable files that must be recovered, have a look @ ‘SpinRite’ from GRC.
Does total disk maintenance; checks cable interfaces; many deep disk checks, recovers data & fixes HDD errors; etc.
    THE industry standard.
About $90 US; money back if not satisfied.

    Google for reviews.
    Well worth the money.

Works on Mac drives: use Spinrite first, then migrate drive & use the Mac recovery utility on the repaired data.
Does not work with newer “solid state” drives.

  2. You can pay for hard drive recovery specialist in New York but i sugegst using lost data recovery tutorials – http://hard-drive-recovery.pl
Also in worst case instead of paying houndereds of dollars to disk recovery experts maybe use a combo of the programs that helped me in similar case: restore my files – http://hard-drive-recovery.pl/restore-files/
    recover deleted data – http://hard-drive-recovery.pl/deleted-data-fix/
    Will be way cheaper.
