Do You Ever Watch Those “cold Case/forensic Files” Programs And Wonder About Someone You Know?

when I was little (9 or 10) I had a girlfriend that lived behind me and she disapeered and never was found.
my parents never thought anything of it, as in protecting me from the person that abducted her, as everyone thought it was her stepdad.
isnt that sad?
now 30 something years later I am curious.
how do i pursue this?

  1. I don’t watch those shows, but my first step would be would be to contact the approproate authourities (FBI?) to see if the girl was ever found.
She may have been found but your parents “protecting you” may never have told you.
    Ask your mother.

Quite often … usually on A&E
More recently, I’ve been watching the drama program, “Cold Case.” On that program (TNT, late nights – usually Monday & Tuesday), there is an FBI unit assigned to go back and solve cold cases. You must have some info for them to go on.
I find it fascinating that cases from decades ago can be solved today due to DNA, etc. Give it a shot, your friend can hopefully be found.

  3. Nope, I do not watch them.
Contact the Detective Unit with the Police Department in that area.
Be careful about inquiring if it has been resolved, you might be asked for any information you might have on the case.

  4. i am not sure what you intend . if you want to find facts concerning the case i think you can go to the office of records and perhaps the district attournies office. you would other wise have to interview those close to the incident.tmm

  5. If either parent is still alive start by asking them for any information they were trying to protect you from….
taht’s the only idea swimming around in my pea brain…
