How can I start a high school National Forensics League?

I’ve always wanted to be in a forensics team but my high school doesn’t have one. I don’t know how it works in other schools, but one thing you need to start a club in our school is have at least one teacher who will “sponsor” it. All suggestions are welcome.

Hm, then I would get that club started, and get a sponsor… that is your first step. Then talk with your sponsor about getting your school a membership with the NFL.
I don’t think its too hard to get your school involved, just requires contacting the NFL, and some paperwork. I assume, lol…

At my school we have debate classes and forensics classes. Within the class, you work on your events/learn events (for novice) and then we go to tournaments and receive our memberships with the NFL through the class.

I am not sure about the club part, because again… all of our involvement’s done through either a debate class (Novice), advanced debate class (Varsity), forensics (novice), advanced forensics (Varsity).

I would definitely start with the club, and move on from there. You can probably find a lot of info on the nfl’s website.

Best of Luck! I hope you get one started because it is A LOT of fun!
    Hope this helped somewhat!!
