First, you are not going to pass the background investigation, due to the 2 felonies. Secondly, must departments have an age cutoff of 32 years old, with the exception of some Sheriff's Departments. As long as you are already law enforcement certified and are already in law enforcement before the age of 32, you can still work in the field. If you are looking in the forensics field, I would contact the school you wish to attend and speak to a school counselor and they should be able to tell you if you qualify to enter the field with your record.
