  1. yes you need to reformat the whole hard drive not just xp or it will be found!

  2. ur os and hard drive are wiped clean but not that clean to where forensic tools can’t uncover what was there

  3. Use kill disk and wipe the drive

  4. no it and everythink else is still recoverable. download this and rin the free space shred/wipe. http://www.fileshredder.org/

  5. Take a hammer to Hard Disk and install a new drive. This is the only way!!! Fact…..

  6. If is video pictures and stuff like that, and it was downloaded, go to My Computer and clean the disc then go to where the pictures and video are located and delete those. If you know who was using your computer, you can have them arrested. Putting porn on a computer is a felony crime.

  7. Yes your stuffed ,quick throw it away :)

  8. lmao
just reinstalling wont erase…. it’ll just replace all the WINDOWS files… not all the other files u have on the computer. i would wipe the drive first, then install from scratch… that’ll work.

  9. Yes – it restores back to factory condition – a PC lobotomy.

  10. I am sure we all believe you. “Someone else” used ur pc. LOL
If you are that worried give me your pc and buy a new one.
BTW for you to be this worried WTF were you watching.

  11. You need to format and reinstall XP, make sure you back up all your files and folders you need as they will be formated

  12. I expect so, but to be sure you’d have to reformat your hard drive first.
Now go and get yourself an active hobby, you filthy pervert.

  13. Reinstalling XP will not delete trace files, you will simply install Windows files over existing files in place.
You will need a tool like Cache Cleaner, which knows how to find these hidden trace files, to delete any evidence.
Alternatively you can run a repartitioning during the install, it might take a while, but it will wipe all files and not result in an in place install.
You can also format the hard drive, but today’s hard drives are really big, and formatting may take many hours, possibly much longer than you anticipated.
None of these methods will prevent a forensic investigator of finding incriminating evidence. There are companies which can reconstruct information from wiped drives, it is relatively inexpensive e.g. around $5,000.

  14. I would buy a new hard drive and reinstall ;how bad is it?is it illegal stuff or just trashy?you could also remove that little Lithium battery from the Motherboard short out the terminals on the board remove the short reinstall the battery

  15. No it wont, i’m not gunna tell you how for legal reason but just No. I dont know why you are giving me negative, you can restore even formatted data from harddrives with FREE software let alone bloody forensics.
BTW the only way to remove files from your harddrive so that they can never be read again is to get an ultrastrong Magnet and attach it to the bottom of the drive for about 20 minutes. that would also however render your drive inoperable.

  16. if you delete files, temporary files, cookies, history, internet temp files…etc. and then defrag disk, after that you have to save some file, just any files, chance that any traces will be found is 0.

  17. why are you worried about that, unless its the bad kind of porn? re formating wont work, there is a way but not sure i should tell you!

  18. Hi, First of all to prevent this happening again create a password for yourself that only you know and set you computer to start only on the password being put in.
Next find out what program it is and delete it from your computer via ADD/Remove once you have done that go to search and again search for the program by putting in the title of what ever the program is. Remove all the program files you see. Do this with ANY program you wish to delete. this is the correct way to uninstall and remove programs from your PC. Failing that reformat the PC and reinstall windows as a NEW installment this will wipe out all that you have on your PC. However just becouse a H/D has been formatted until you write something to that H/D then the H/D information can be recovered. So once you have formatted your H/D put your O/S back on that will prevent any recovery program.
    All the best

  19. Im sorry but your out of luck,Dont matter what you use to scrub the drive it can still be found…

  20. Do a re-install, and re-format. Unless your into something really heavy that will be fine.

  21. If you use a factory restore disk, this will remove the files so you cant easily see them.
The files are still there is just the 1st letter is delete and its removed from the file allocation table. These files will stay there for ever unless that actual sector is overwritten.
If you do a restore the chances are large parts of the files are gone and as they are binary they will very hard to view, even with the latest recovery software.
You can never completely remove the files by formating, search online for some software like cleansweep. This will erase all content on your disk by turning all the sectors to 1′s then back to 0′s. In essence removing all traces of the files. Tell the software to do about 5 passes and your files will never be able to be retreived.

  22. this question seems strange to me the police would not use forensic software on a pc thats just had adult porn on it so why worry, I personally think you are trying to get rid of illegal underaged porn

  23. dude, what kind of porn has got you so worried that you want to erase all evidence of it……if your that worried you could burn the house down? (kidding)

  24. YES..my brother once formatted my laptop but i still got to my old files..i digged alot but it wasnt impossible…i say go burn your harddrive

  25. yes the police will still be able to access what you have on there even if you format because formating accualy only wipes out your file alocation table..
but if you formated it then all the stuff that is on will not be accesible to the general user ie it will all be wiped.
