    I think so yes.
    The problems with viruses are not going to go away anytime soon.

    It is for me.

    The problem that many would be security professionals run into is that they lean too heavily on their education, rather than actually critically analyzing each system for themselves.

    If you want to actually have a real career in information security:

    1. You NEED a bachelors in Computer Science or a related field.
    2. You need to be CISSP certified. #1 is a requirement for this.
    3. You NEED to be able to think outside the box.
    4. You NEED to accept the fact that you’re going to become a target within the IT community and any business you work for. We’re the IT equivalent of the police.
