Is Forensics Science a difficult course to take?

My friend wants to become Forensics Scientist and wants to get a Ph.d on it. And also what classes does he need when he goes to a University.

  1. Yes it is a very difficult program of study in order to major in Forensic Science. It involves a lot of science i.e basic Biology and Chemistry, then Genetics (or something similar), Part 1 and 2 of Organic Chemistry, and more specialized Chemistry and Biology courses. Labs are included with most of these classes and you also have to take physics and calculus classes. Of course this is all apart from core classes that you need to graduate from the college or university you are in. If your friend has a solid four years of science in high school and has done well, then he should be ok as long as he keeps up with the coursework.
