Ohio Forensic Guide

Hi, I’m attending Purdue University this fall, and I am an Electrical Engineering Major. I watch alot of crime shows like SVU and CI and decided to endevour in the exciting field of Information Technology. I was looking at the list of classes, and as an ECET elective, I can take part in Electrical Forensics, so that got me thinking, “Can I still do computer forensics?”.
I red online that you need a degree in computer science, as you might have to write codes, deprogram software and websites; but I have to write C language and as an option I can do C++ .. so technically speaking, the fields are covered. I just wanted to be sure.
