Is There A Chance Of Me Ever Being A Part Of The Fbi Of Cia Given My Situation? Pls Read..?

it’s my dream to someday be a computer forensic investigator for either the fbi or the cia. it is my understanding that they do however have some criteria which one has to meet in order to work for them. this is where my problem is. i understand that one of the criteria is that you have to be a US citizen. i am currently an indian citizen but will have no problem applying for US citizenship in the near future. But since i am an indian citizen i am obviously doing my B.Engineering in an accredited indian university. unfortunately for me another one of the criteria is that you should have graduated from an american university. However i have every intention of doing my masters in computer forensics in america. so does this count? do i stand any chance of ever being a part of the fbi or the cia? it is also my understanding that they offer an internship program, something that i would like to be a part of while or after doing my masters. im not sure if it applies to forensic investigators as well but if it does could this be possible for me assuming i get my US citizenship by then? if there is anyone out there who is actually part of either the FBI or the CIA then please do help. any additional information would be appreciated as well. Thanks

  1. im not going to say its impossible, but the odds are stacked WAY against you. I am canadian, in the process of getting my american citizenship. im automatically denied a lot of jobs that require american citizenship due to government defense related things. it MAY be possible to work with them, but i would highly doubt it.

  2. I beleive the CIA and other agencies often employ foreigners. You actually may have via your language and computer skills something they actually seek and want. I doubt citizenship is always required. When you come to the US contact a local congressman’s office. They should clairify the matter for you.

  3. You have the writings skills of a retarded third grader. You have zero shot. They don’t hire people who refuse to write like an adult for an adult job. End of story.
    Hope this helps.

  4. You’re wasting your time, for a multitude of reasons.
Quit watching so much American Television and try to find a real career in your field.

  5. First of all.. there is one rule for CIA.. you do not tell anyone you are with the CIA.

The FBI has something called an Honors internship program and they select applicants from economics majors to psychology majors, it just depends on what the bureau needs, but to qualify for this internship, you must have very good grades and you are subject to the same qualification requirements as if you were applying for a special agent position with the FBI, despite your suspected complications and wondering if you are qualified, many people do not get in the FBI and fail the polygraph test, so don’t think getting into the FBI is easy.
I do have a tip for you though, you can apply for a police officers position in your town and gain a few years of experience as an officer if the FBI turns you down the first time.. law enforcement experience is always a bonus, good luck, and check out the website for the fbi – http://www.fbi.gov – you will find a lot of info there.
