Is there anyone here who works in Forensics?
hello, I am very interested in Forensics and will pursue that career path in college but I’d like to hear from people who actually do this stuff. do you like your job? what do you do in Forensics? what does it take to be in the Forensics field? and finally should i go into Forensics?
I need intelligent answers. anyone?
unbelievably boring with periods of disgust and revulsion on poor pay. most of the police forensic scientists have the minimum possible qualifications, hence the poor quality of work and the overblown claims about what they can prove. Most of their testimony is guesswork. don’t get taken in by TV.
I am from the Police and Correctional side of Criminal Justice, but: I have had many interesting interactions, on cases with Forensics, very interesting in the reconstruction of a certain death case, what or which wound actually was the fatal one, or trying to diagnose what drug(s) induced to cause death.
