Omg My Computer Is Messed Up, I Don’t Know What To Do, I Think I Have The Conficker Virus! Please Help!?
So lately, all of these pop ups have been coming up with internet explorer, one after the other, whenever I click one, another one pops up. I know this is one of the symptoms. My desktop background changed without me changing it, it now says this, and I am not misspelling the word “you’re” that’s how it is spelled:
WARNING!
Your’re in danger!
YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED WITH SPYWARE!
All you do with computer is stored forever in your hard disk.
When you visit sites, send emails… all your actions are
logged. And it is impossible to remove them with standard tools.
Your data is still available for forensics. And in some cases
FOR YOUR BOSS, YOUR FRIENDS, YOUR WIFE, YOUR CHILDREN.
Every site you or somebody or something, like spyware, opened in your browsers, with all the images, and all the downloaded and maybe later removed movies or MP3 songs – ARE STILL THERE and could break your life.
SECURE YOURSELF RIGHT NOW!
REMOVE ALL SPYWARE FROM YOUR PC!
A new program has installed itself into my computer. It is called “System Security 2009″ and is represented by a shield with black and yellow diagonal stripes. It is not letting me run any internet browsers, open up anything on “My Computer” or “Control Panel” and will not let me open anything that I click on. I am asking this question from my friend’s computer because I don’t know what to do.
The shield icon just popped up, and then all of these popup messages came from it like: Warning: Your computer is infected. Windows has detected spyware!
All of these popup internet explorer pages are coming up called “Invalid Syntax Error”.
I cannot download anything, no antivirus protection, it will not let me run any programs.
When the little shield popped up for the first time, I got the messages like I said before, and then all of a sudden, my computer crashed. That blue screen with the white lettering popped up saying it was dumping internal memory, and then it shut off.
I try clicking on the little shield to delete it, but all it gives me is the option to “Continue without protection” or “Get Protected” when I click continue without, i keep getting pestered. When I click “Get Protected” it gives me the ordering page, where it wants me to enter my credit card number to buy the spyware, so I xed out.
I don’t know what to do, if someone could please help me figure out what’s wrong with my computer, and how I can fix it? Thanks ^_^.

No you don’t have the conficker virus!

If you can complete these actions you do not have conficker worm – so that is one threat sorted out!
Turn off system restore and boot into safe mode. Run Malwarebytes and quarantine anything found.
Reboot into normal mode and if all is Ok turn on system restore and create a manual restore point.
Here is link to a website that will give you directions on how to remove this from your computer. It has automatic instructions. If you cannot open any programs that will be useless, so it also includes manual removal. You can print them from your friends computer then follow them when you get back to your own.
Well don’t download anything from it first off.
try to remove the program because its just trying to scare you into buying the program and then when you do it downloads addware spyware onto your computer.
if you cant get rid of it back up all your files.
and settings and restore your computer you should be back at factory settings and then you can put all your backed up files and settings onto your comptuer
1) Um downloading spyware/anti-viruses after you get a virus won’t help… the best thing to do is call in a computer expert to totally restart your computer. I’m not sure if it’ll delete all the programs you had on your computer, but i’ve heard that they can restore it back to a certain time… like a time machine. But it really depends on the person.
2) If you have a BACKUP disk, this will be useful. This disk can be used to clear out a certain disk drive. For example, if your computer is affected in Hard Drive C, you use the backup disk and completely restart the C Drive so the virus disappears.
Good luck with your computer, hope this helped
Oh, and buy norton ghost for your computer, it’s very useful :]
One word, Reformat.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THOSE ADD SITES! They are just scams.
Only back up what you REALLY need.
Oh my goodness! I’m experiencing the same problem! I heard that there are some programs that can delete it, but I do not know the names of them. However, I do know that it is a virus that infects your computer and then it tricks you into paying for their services; so basically, they are breaking your computer, and your paying them to fix it. If you research programs for that, then you will probably find some goods ones to uninstall it.
Good luck!
