normal solder station(hot air gun) will be fine. preheat few second on pcb.

this operation do with hot air gun(solder station) no need to match pc,sn,dcm, hard drive modrel…match pcb model only. you had to replacemment rom chip if have. for newer drive replacement please contact me by email. i have special tools for them

I need to replace a WD harddrive and I have found an exact match with Model No.
PCB No. and DCM No.
The fried HD was in an external drive that had no Operating system files on it but just used as a data storage device, would I still need to change the new ROM chip with the old one, or could I simply swap the PCB over?
