I want to go into IT now, and have an Associate’s in Business. What classes or certifications should I look into that would get me into the IT department sooner?
I receive educational reimbursement for up to 4 classes a year, so this is definitely a 2-5 year deal. I would like to go into some kind of computer forensics, and can readily advance where I work if I do that.
Let me know the basic training that all employers look for, and any specialized training that can put me into a good candidate position for hire.

I’m planning on going to a 4 year University for a Computer Science Degree and a Business Minor. Now I’m also interested in Computer Forensics and they don’t offer it at my 4 year college. My question is can I use classes I learn during my Bachelors Degree to speed up an Associates degree at another college. For example my core classes, would I have to pay them some money or have to take the classes again. I would doubt it but I’m unsure. Thanks for any input.

Obviously you need all Microsoft Office courses. You will be conveying ideas, producing documentation and making presentations so English courses, PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Any programming courses that are offered are good. Any law and chain of evidence and police science courses would be good.
