Viruses Have Taken Over My Computer! Can I Fix This?
Recently, my computer has been blue-screening, so I tried changing some paging and caching options like it said. However, I have discovered that it is viruses. After several blue-screens and restarts while trying to log on to my computer, it came up and when I opened my profile, my desktop background had the following message:

So I automatically turned my internet, and tried to run my antivirus software, but a ballon popped up saying the files were infected. I couldn’t open any programs, so I switched to Safe Mode with Networking, downloaded a new virus protection software and scanned the computer. It found 248 Trojans, so I though I had the problem fixed, but when I went back to regular mode, everything is still infected and the warning screen is still on my desktop! HOW CAN I GET RID OF THESE VIRUSES? I have valuable information on my computer for work and home, and I don’t have the money to have this fixed at a repair shop. Can anybody walk me through some steps on how to get my computer running again?
I don’t have the back-up disk for XP either, so that’s not really an option.
You’re pretty much screwed. All you can do is save your important files and reinstall.
