I don't know where you live but around here most people aren't looking for a CJ degree, they want to train you so even a basic sociology degree will suffice. Try to do some volunteer/intern work in the office that you are interested in working with (this is a good way to go if you are currently in school) then, when you finish your degree, APPLY APPLY APPLY. Since you are interested in computer forensics, I am hoping you are doing your degree in that area. Keep in mind that not all of the computer forensic/background investigations are in criminal justice -- many companies hire for that position as well. Check with your university's career center, and do some research on your own (if you can't do that -- consider a different career) -- there are many ways to get a position, even without experience, if you just put your mind/heart/soul to the task.
