What are the odds and a realistic perspective of a person wanting to become a forensics anthropologist?

Also, how fruitful is a degree in Anthropology? thanks.

  1. The depends on how bad you want it! Its an amazing line of work but is going to require at least a masters, probably a PhD. There are tons of ways to get started, my college has an undergrad program with anthro and a minor in forensics. So realistically, its entirely do-able and a job that’s not going away any time soon and is needed. The coroner for my county is a forensic anthropologist.

An anthro degree in general is very fruitful because it is so versatile, after undergrad you can specialize in something you like better such as forensics, get a job or even change your mind entirely but still feel confident in a different degree because anthro is so multidisciplinary.
