Many of those technologies don't exist. It is also a very grusome field, dead bodies that are decomposing or have been brutally beaten...if you're really ready for it then more power to you!! I saw a picture of a severed head and I realized the homicide squad is not for me! WIth that said, usually the homicide squad takes care of that. The officer that came into my lecture began working on the beat as a patrol officer and as positions became available she moved up. She had a degree in Criminology.
