I’m surprised that you are able to get a degree in archaeology at SFU and a double major in anthropology/archaeology. Most universities don’t offer a degree in archaeology and only in anthropology which covers archaeology. I had to look up SFU`s website to confirm, but it appears you are correct. I have a degree in anthropology but as an archaeologist. My BSc Anthropology was done in Manitoba and I'm now doing my Masters in Ontario and the three universities that I attended all work the same way. It would seem SFU has its advantages.
For forensics I would personally go for a BSc considering the number of science courses you will have to take anyway. There isn’t much difference between a BA and BSc in anthropology but for forensics I’m sure a BSc would carry more weight on a resume.
Each university has its own rules regarding transfer credits but I’m sure there is a way to do what you want. The only way to really know for sure is to contact a student advisor explaining your situation and they will tell you what is possible and what is not. I’m wondering though why you are not doing forensics while you are doing your anthropology major though. In most universities forensics is an anthropology degree.
BTW. I hope you have a good memory, because osteology is a killer if you don’t. Make sure you take human anatomy before attempting osteology, it’ll be a real advantage.
