What should I charge for data recovery on a failed drive and PC repairs in general?

I am recovering lost data from a laptop hard drive. Also, I do some repair work and I am wondering if there is some way to figure out what to charge without calling other businesses to see what they charge. Is there a market rate guide or something?

I usually charge $1 per mb. unless its just pics and docs. This includes Favorites, and saved program data. More to recover deleted and corrupt data.

for pics and docs just about $1 per 10 mb.

As far as the repair work, my shop minimum is; free inspection, $75 for any repair and double the cost for an add-on or replacement item.
