What Should I Do With My Life?
I thought about writing, teaching, nursing, art school, computer animation, doctor, lawyer, professer, disease researcher, and forensic investigator, movie director, cruise ship director, veterinarian, dolphin trainer, laboratory tech.
Ok which one should I do?
Only you can decide what your passion in life is.
it really depends on your age. you seem to have a lot of very different interests.
really think about why you want to become a doctor, because it’s one of those careers that you have to be really certain about from an early age – you either want it, or you dont. it’s a huge responsibility over other people’s lives, it can be very rewarding, but also sad, for example if you are unable to save your patient. you have to study a lot to become a doctor, and it’s not all bookwork – you will have to do things like dissecting dead bodies.
professor of what exactly?
being a vet is a demanding and very difficult job. not only do you have to love animals, you have to think about things like constantly seeing only animals that are sick, and in pain, which can be very depressing. also, as a vet you may have to put animals to sleep. could you really do that?
to become a movie director you have to be a very artistic individual. do you paint? do you make short animated or played-out sketches or films? do you like thinking about what is going on behind the scenes of a film when you watch them?
being a lawyer is also a very difficult job. you have to know a lot, be able to memorise large amounts of information and learn not to get involved in the difficult situations of your clients. you have to be prepared and happy with doing a lot of paperwork, not just speaking in court. think about it – why do you want to become a lawyer? if it is only because you like watching sitcoms like ‘ally mcbeal’, forget about it.. it is MUCH less exciting in real life.
being a forensic investigator, you have to be very observative, determined and not squeamish about working with dead bodies a lot. you will have to deal with murders on a daily basis, not everyone can handle that.
i’m afraid i dont know much about the other career paths, but check online, ask your guidance counselor at school and talk to people who are studying at university.
That’s a good question. I’m still wondering what to do with my life. Go for nursing. They always need more people in that field. Think of the baby-boomers that are starting to get older and need places like assistant living or nursing homes, they will also need more staff.
Find your passion. If you find a job you love and that you’re passionate about, you’ll never ‘work’ a day in your life. That’s something only YOU can decide. What are your interests and hobbies? What do you genuinely enjoy doing?
Nobody can answer that but you. If you don’t decide yourself then you will just end up unhappy. Take time don’t rush into anything. Just believe in youself and look into your heart. Everything will work out then. Good luck x
well no one can truly give you the answer. you have to find the answer with in yourself. find something you’ll truly be happy with and i bet you will have fun doing it.
I’m halfway through my systems engineering career
So I’d go with Computer Animation!!!:P
Art school is my personal favorite. But only you can decide what you want to do the most.
Aeronautic is probably the best paid carrees so i’d say cruise ship director.

You should volunteer/research and find out hands on which field you would like to go into. Good luck.
